I take pictures when I can. I do enjoy photojournalism style pictures. Basically taking pictures of people involved in activities, be it a Halloween party or demonstrations on Parliament Hill.

I also enjoy taking pictures of sunsets, nature and wildlife. Everyone once in a while I do get a great shot. That being said there are a lot of great photographers on this site. It is always inspiring, and humbling, to view the work of others on this site.

Lately, I have been experimenting with HDR and stack focusing. Both techniques are time-consuming and finicky to get right, but when you do the results can be spectacular.

Most of my pictures are stored as 12 megapixels (4000 x 3000 pixels) with new pictures stored as 36 megapixels (7300 x 4900 pixels) or larger; however they are displayed as 1 megapixel (1024 x 680).

My pictures are copyrighted so you need buy a copy or get permission to use these photos or get a full size copy. I am quite reasonable about requests. I am not expecting to become rich taking photos, but perhaps I might make enough to purchase some new equipment.
