I am John from New Jersey and I am an Amateur Photographer.

I have been into Photography since I was a kid. My Mom would go to the local Camera store with me and my brother. We would amorously stare at all the cool cameras. It's amazing that after all these years we are still into Photography. :)

When I was an Art Major years ago I took a bunch of photography classes which helped re-kindle my passion for Photography. I even had a dark room in the basement of my Parents' house which I miss.

MY first SLR was a Canon EOS film SLR (EOS 630). To this day I still use Canon equipment because once you're used to a particular system it's hard to switch; especially when you have accumulated Canon lenses. Although I do not have my EOS 630 anymore, I still use my 50mm f/1.8 MkI lens which I bought 22 years ago.

Today everything is Digital which is great because I don't have to spend a lot of money on film. lol ;) Digital also help bring out the creativity in you by focusing more on your ideas rather than technically staging a shot. Digital also gives you an instant feedback which film lacked because it took days or hours before you could see the end result of your photos. The Digital SLRs I've owned are Canon EOS 10D, 40D and now the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
