I signed up to Flickr primarily as a convenient way of sharing photos from our 2005 Canadian holiday with our Canadian relatives. Instead of painstakingly selecting photos, burning them to CD and mailing them, I figured I could just upload them to flickr and they could download and print whichever ones they liked...

I used to have an old Olympus C300Z (aka D550Z), but three days into our Canada trip decided I needed to upgrade and got a Canon PowerShot S2 IS, which has served me very well and is responsible for most of the photos in my flickr stream. Just recently I upgraded again, this time to a Canon EOS 30D. Even more recently, I upgraded to a Canon EOS 7D, and more more recently a 7D Mk II.
