Hi, I am John Beukeboom from the Netherlands.

I am an amateur photographer, years ago in the analog time I enjoyed taking pictures of all sort of things but mainly due to lack of funds (cost of film rolls and developing) it never accounted to much.

Since I discovered digital a whole new world has opened up and I picked up the old hobby again.

My main interest is nature photography of which birdlife is my favorite subject.

The satisfaction of getting the shot I am are after, sometimes after hours of waiting in cold, wet weather is fantastic. The diversity in bird behavior, colours, habitat and interaction are a constant joy to watch.

I still have a lot to learn, about birds :) , but also about photography (especially the post processing part, i am no hero with Photoshop).

I use Nikon equipment with lenses ranging from 16mm to 500mm.
