When I was retired from work, I took up my old hobby again, which was photography.

I made a lot of pictures in my birthplace Vlaardingen, where I don't live, but often come.

I got that many photo's, that I even started a blog about Vlaardingen.

Here you can see the street where I was born.

Of course I do not only photograph my birth town. I love to make pictures of landscapes as well and always try to look with the eyes of a painter. The composition is very important.

I let me inspire by other flickr members and looking at their work I always ask myself: 'Would I hang this picture on the wall?"

There are so many wonderful photo's, that I best can move to a big castle and even then there's a lack of room!
