Who I am as a photographer:

I take photographs in order to communicate with the world. I process my images using a minimalist approach. I strive to make the image look exactly as I remember seeing it in terms of brightness, natural lighting, and realistic color.

Photographers have always controlled the point of view, composition, and final cropping of the image, which I will continue to do. I try never to stretch an image out of proportion from reality.

As of October 2018 I have converted a very few images to monochrome. I reserve the right to do monochrome when it seems appropriate. And at the same time I will tell you that as long as I have shot photographs, my main purpose is to capture color. The images that I share on Flickr show the wonderful depth and breadth of color in the world around us.

I also have a few albums with snapshots of vacation trips that are not a whole lot different from anyone else's. I hope my travel images will improve over time.
