Hi, welcome on my profile!

I am an amateur photographer from Belgium. I'm not really a specialist in any type of photography. Reporting-style on holidays and family events. Landscapes while traveling abroad. Architecture during lunchbreaks and weekends. Indoor sports (Gymnastics) when my daughter is competing. Portraits for my Stranger project, ...

I have an well filled bag (all nikon) with a D7000, 17-55 mm f2.8, 10-24 mm f3.5-4.5, 80-200 mm f2.8 and a tiny 50 mm f1.8.

The way I play the Flickr game:

When do I visit your Photostream?

- You made me a Contact, or I see a comment on one of my pictures

- Somebody advised me to have a look at your stream

- I spotted a witty comment somewhere on the activity pages.

When do I make you a Contact?

Typically by getting somehow on your photostream and being impressed by what I see. Some information on your profile helps too.

When I make you a Contact, this means that I'll be watching your Photostream and you can expect comments regularly and consistently. Contacts that post lots of pictures at the same time can't be offered the same service.

How do I Comment?

I try to do more than just saying "Great!". Sometimes it is just great and I will say what I think is particularly great. Sometimes, when I think I would have done it differently, I'll give you my honest opinion while trying to be respectful and constructive.

No need to be defensive: If I think the colors are too saturated to my taste, I will say so. If you think that the colors are just what your picture needs, by all means, stand by your work. After all, it is your work, isn't it?

If you are not interested at all in my comments, please tell me, I won't do it again.

When do I call your picture a Favorite?

That's when I am really blown of my chair. You produced a picture that I wasn't expecting. Beware, if you are some kind of specialist in a certain type of photography, I will be raising my expectations and I won't be blown of my chair that easiliy.
