I am not a photographer. I don't have an eye for composition, and I can't be bothered with post-processing to create eye-popping wonders. But I am a writer, and photography is a means for storytelling. For documenting life.
I used to have a longer bio, huffing about my journalistic career. But my profession is no longer. Activism has displaced journalism. The process started with the 2008 economic collapse, proliferated during 2016 U.S. elections, and accelerated to escape velocity in late 2019. My advice: 1) Don't trust any blogger, journalist, or news organization until you assess who benefits, and how, from the story or the (typically) narrow viewpoint presented. 2) Always dismiss conspiracy theories spreading across social networks. 3) Stop listening, reading, or watching when the news gatherer advocates a position or particular point of view.
And if you're really looking for fiction, skip the news and grab a good novel. Self-publishing assures there are plenty of ebooks to choose from.
