I've known Joeri van Veen for quite a few years now and can only say that Joeri is someone who never ceases to amaze me with his talent for photography and his unique way of portraying things. His photographic work is both playful and serious at the same time and Joeri does not shy away from the darker sides of life and society. Joeri is the sort of person that is constantly trying to improve and re-invent himself and that has a profound impact on his photo's. For as long as I have known him Joeri strives for perfection, both in a technical sense and in the way he wants to portray an object, a feeling or an element of society. At the times that I've been lucky enough to work alongside him he demonstrated his photographic expertise in a relaxed and knowledgeable way, giving me ample opportunity to learn from him in many ways. Joeri's photographs are most certainly worth a look!
