As stereotypical as it is in my Art I used to depend way too much on my mood. Or on the weather. Or on the dark side of the mood. I sometimes used to wake up and just not feel like creating something. Then I would check the updates of my Flickr contacts and see Joel's work and I would feel ashamed for being way too lazy. Every single one of Joel's daily uploads is a stimulus to get up and get creative! Not even a single day must be wasted! It blows my mind how he manages to come up with so many creations, at times completely different stylistically, at times with really intricate editing and manipulation, however always whimsical, entertaining and inspiring. He can incorporate them into a photo seamlessly and create magic. I especially love the joyful enthusiasm he portrays in his work. There are very few people on Flickr with as much diverse talent as Joel.
