I'm an amateur photographer from Finland.

I don't have any specific theme here. I shoot what I like and post here the ones I like the most. For processing and editing I use Adobe Lightroom.

Feel free to comment on my photos as I want to learn how to take better pictures.

## Jun 2010 ##

Was using previously Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 but then I wanted some more control of my camera. In the summer of 2009 I got interested in the Micro Four Thirds standard and then in January 2010 I got the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 with a 14-140mm lens. I spent some months first getting to know DSLRs and read several reviews and comparisons before I knew what kind of a camera I actually needed. So far I've liked the GH1 a lot.

## Dec 2010 ##

Some thousands of pictures taken with the GH1. Always have something to learn. Got a tripod and the result is sharper pictures and the possibility of long exposures. I have found the limitations of the GH1, that's the low light conditions where it's difficult to focus and get decent handheld shots. Also I do need an external flash for inside shots.

## Jul 2011 ##

There's a growing need for a faster lens, like Panasonic's 20mm f/1.7. Maybe I'll get it some day.

## Jan 2012 ##

New lens. Not the 20mm but instead Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 ASPH.

## Feb 2014 ##

Changed my screen name as my real name. Since Flickr says my name is already in use I shortened it, but members can still see full name. Not many photos posted recently, but haven't stopped taking photos. They're just on my hard drive waiting to get uploaded.

## Apr 2015 ##

After two months of consideration whether to continue upgrading in m4/3 or switch to another system I chose Fujifilm X. Started with X-T1 + Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R. The competitor was Olympus OM-D E-M5 mark II and although both have their own pros and cons it was hard to make the decision based only on specs and reviews. When I had a change to play with the cameras physically the choice was obvious. Fuji's controls and ergonomics fit my hand the best.

## Mar 2017 ##

Now two years with Fujifilm and very happy with it. I've survived with one lens (23mm) so far because of it's outstanding quality and versatility. I also love the natural looking colors that the Provia film simulation provides. Switching to Fuji has greatly reduced the need to do post processing.
