I think photography is a great hobby as it involves walking around the place and being observant.

Were it not for my camera, these two things may never happen. I'd just stay in the same place & not even notice where I was (which could potentially be very dangerous if that 'place' happened to be a busy motorway or the lion enclosure at a zoo)
