I have been a photography hobbyist for about 25 years and have recently taken a much more serious interest in developing my craft. I shoot mostly portraits but am interested in fashion, nature, event and landscape photography as well. I prefer shooting outdoors or in situations where I can use natural light, in locations that contribute to the overall mood and concept of the photos. I just purchased my first DSLR, the Nikon D40, and am also working on converting my garage into a small project studio. Some of my favorite photographers are Annie Leibovitz, Robert Mapplethorpe, Anne Geddes, Sally Mann, Steve McCurry, Jock Sturges and David Bailey.
