Joe-Jim is a personage of the R. Heinlein's 'Orphans of the Sky' science-fiction novel. Joe-Jim is the dicephalic Mutie leader, who shows Hugh Hoyland, the human protagonist of the novel, the true nature of the Universe. For me Joe-Jim represents the eternal conflict of the inquisitive minds, searching answers explorating the world they are surrounded but looking into themselves as well, often perceiving their own contradictions.
