I'm an RN in the Labor and Delivery Dept. I love my job beyond words! I get to hold new life warm from the womb. Nothing is better than that.

But I have lots of hobbys =)

One new one is photography. I just decided to up my game by getting a nice camera and to learn how to do manuel settings. I bought a Canon EOS 40D. I look forward to learning so much here! I love almost nothing more than looking at all the gorgeous art and artists here on Flickr. I don't have time to take photography classes, so I'm learning by reading and observing.

I do call myself "artist" because I have always created art. I've quilted, sewn, knitted, counted cross stitched and almost anything else you can think of. I've always taken photo's but now I am taking it very seriously. I tend to go "overboard" and nuts when I take on a new art. I throw myself under the bus. Just ask my husband lol. He says my Canon 40D is attached to my hip!

I have many great and inspirational friends and contacts here at flickr. You all are teaching me so much and this is how I'm learning. I'm self taught. No time for classes at the moment; altho I've seriously thought about an online course. I love my 40D. I'm so glad I jumped right in and bought it. Now what I'm dying for is a kickbutt Macro lens.

In time I'll get it =)

So please comment when you can. I'd love to hear criticism also to make me grown. I try to leaves lots of comments on my contact list even when I can't upload.
