You will recognize Jochen van Edens work at first glance - his colored pictures are not gaudy - his black and white photos are intensive - his style is distinctive. And his whole workings are intimately connected with music. His portraits as well as his reportages capture a tiny moment - almost hasty and often haunting intimate. A careful production can't be distinguished from a snapshot; this makes the magic of his photos.

I always liked to work with the camera, just as I painted, drew and designed creative. And I got round to doing photography in 2004 by music. In both areas music as well as photography, I'm autodidact. I worked with a lot of bands - I tried to realize my ideas with a friend to find a way to achieve my creativity. My pictures - as before my music - contain a lot of melancholy. Nowadays I work for magazines and advertising agencies as well as for the music industry.
