Hi there, welcome to my Flickr profile.

I'm developing a huge love for photography, and I hope that the results will get better with time...

I started out with a very simple HP Photosmart R707, back in January 2007. Of course, this was all point and click, and took pictures that you would find in one's scrapbook. I bought the camera mainly to take pictures of my kids...

However, somewhere along the way, I got interested in taking other kinds of pictures. The kind that 'wow' people... Creating better photo's, also requires a better camera. So, I bought my first DSLR, a Canon 1000D. (Somewhere around December 2008, if I remember correctly...)

At first, the results were just plain poor, and I thought I might have to take some course or something in order to get better... I didn't however. Instead I joined Flickr Walks (mainly because of Gwendolen, because she invited me not long after I bought my first DSLR...) and started learning by looking at others taking pictures...

The 1000D was a nice camera, but I had many problems with it. Not long after I bought it, troubles began, and after my summer vacation in Switzerland and Italy in 2010, I brought it back to the store for the fourth time. The store I got it from, acknowledged that I had a problem model, and the offered me a new one. Since I lost faith in the 1000D and wanted a 450D anyway, they offered me that camera, for €60,- extra. I am now the proud owner of a Canon 450D...

My gear consists of:

- Canon 450D

- Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (kit lens)

- Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens

- Tamron AF 70-300 F/4-5.6 macro Di LD lens

- Plato Phottix Wireless Remote C6

- Vanguard MK-1 Tripod

- A Hewlett Packard All in one printer.

The old (no longer used) stuff:

- HP Photosmart R707

- Canon 1000D (returned to store, after 1,5 years of use, minus 3 times 5 week repair periods...)

- Dell Photoprinter
