John passed away on 3rd January 2021.
He loved that visitors to his Flickr enjoyed looking at his photos. So his photos will stay here for more visitors to enjoy as a kind of legacy/memorial to him. I will also add to them as I go through his hard drives.

I have loved taking photographs since I was very young. Before I got my first SLR in 1977, I used Kodak Instamatics or whatever cameras I could afford at the time. I bought my first SLR camera to take better photos of buses than I had been able to with an Instamatic and soon discovered that I enjoyed taking photographs of many different subjects especially nature/wildlife and historical recreations.
I have worked on a semi professional basis as a tourist board photographer and wedding photographer.
My ideal job would involve being paid to travel round the country, photographing historical recreations or re-enactments or wildlife!
