I am a photographer and writer. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Minor Degrees in Photography and Writing.

Here is what I use in my photography :

>> Digital: I use a Nikon D5200 with a Nikkor 55-300mm Zoom Lens and a Nikkor 18-55mm Wide/Telephoto Lens; an Olympus EPL-1 with a Lumix 20mm Prime Lens and an m.Zuiko 40-150mm Zoom Lens. I use B+W Clear Lens Filters to protect my lenses.

>> Film: I have a Kodak 110 Instamatic and use the only 110 film currently available, from Lomography. When shooting 35mm, I use a Nikon N80. For film stock, I use Fujichrome Velvia for color and Fujifilm Neopan Acros for black and white. I have also shot in the past with Kodak Kodachrome.

>> Lighting: My lighting equipment includes: a LumoPro LP160 speedlight, two Cactus wireless transceivers and two Smith-Victor light stands. I also have a Smith-Victor tungsten continuous lighting kit for video.

In photography, I still enjoy occasionally shooting with film, even though I primarily use digital cameras. I have a Nikon Coolscan film scanner to convert my film to digital.

My main interest in filmmaking is cinematography. Favorite cinematographers include Vittorio Storaro, James Wong Howe and Gordon Willis. I have personally shot with a Canon HV30 HDV camcorder and a Canon Super 8mm film camera.

I have taken Cinematography Courses at Maine Media Workshops. Courses included Film Cinematography and Camera Assistant. There, I shot with 16mm film cameras and worked with 35 mm cameras, including Panavision and Arriflex.
