My love of photography began while I was in graduate school in 1972 and needed a "filler" course to keep my full time student classification. "Fundamentals of Photography" was my selection…great choice as it turned out. Those were film days, with hours being spent in the darkroom, largely working just B&W. Great way to learn.
When digital came along I was at first reluctant to put aside my 35mm SLRs, but I eventually did. First digital camera was a Nikon D70s, replaced by a D300.
Recently, I started shooting with a m43 camera (GX1) and that has essentially replaced my D300 for daily use. I prefer the lighter kit, and I am seing equal or better image results with the GX1 compared to the D300.
Process my images using Lightroom 4, with Silver Efex Pro and several Topaz plug-ins. I have as much enjoyment in post as I do when I click the shutter.
