I have always liked photography, but became hooked when I got a SLR as a present in 1999.
I like arts generally and come basically from music. And I strive to do everthing in camera (no postprocessing).
These are the stages I have lived so far as a photographer:
1. Chilhood. Snaps made mostly with love.
2. Teenage. This is from 1999 (SLR) onwards. Then I was just looking for something that matched me, and cared mostly for aesthetics. The stage when I got into art.
3. Adulthood. 2026 onwards. Before this I was just having fun taking shots. From this time I am additionally directing my search and photo choices to subjects of deep significance to me. I now only find a point photographing in having a keeper, for me and for others.
After 40 years of getting into photography I still realize from time to time how much I have to learn yet.
Tips for exploring all the shots: they are classified each into one album, and the albums are all classified into collections. The Keepers album is a selection.
Equipment: Canon EOS RF-S camera with EF-S lenses. I stayed in APS-C format because of the weight of the lenses. I like carrying the full range of focal lengths with me and with full-frame weight would have been prohibitive. As for why Canon, well this was the brand of the SLR I got as a present when I had just turned 18. I basically fell in love with it so have remained loyal, and didn't want to change my lenses when I got into EF-S.
