It all started back in college when I join a photography course, which was my first real exposure to realm of photography. During the course, we used 35mm film, chemicals and the darkroom. It was absolutely amazing… There’s nothing more surreal than watching a photograph come to life in the darkroom.
After the course was done, I still used my 35mm camera (which I still have one), but moved with technology into digital photography. A few years past and then I picked up a Nikon D40 DLSR - what a huge difference! It was like having my 35mm back again, but digital. I was able to adjust my settings (aperture, shutter speed, etc), which totally revamped my photography theory.
Then I got an iPhone 3GS… After getting my iPhone, I discovered the amazing iPhoneography movement and was complete hooked (and still am). I started downloading app and after app after app… this is when my passion for photography was re-released. The next move was to the iPhone 4. A better camera, better resolution, a front-facing camera, more new apps, and so on.
At the present moment, I’m using my iPhone 4 and the Nikon DSLR switching between iPhoneography and photography. I also enjoy writing/blogging about various photography and iPhoneography stuff… Thus the birth of jL Fotography.
