I am an amateur photographer who uses photography as a change of pace from his very left brained career. My subjects are mainly landscape, "Dust & Rust", industrial, maritime, and railroad compositions, often with some motion. In processing my photographs, I tend towards square (or maybe 4:5) and lowkey black & white, probably a consequence of watching so many films noir. Unless color is the subject, when I process my photos, I usually see how they look in monochrome first.

All photos were taken by me. All photos were processed by me, usually with little processing beyond cropping, straightening, sharpening, and saturating/dodging/burning. I have nothing against heavily processed photography; it's just not my style.

If someone "likes" one of my photos, I try to check out their work and might "like" some back, but it will be a reflection of my tastes - not necessarily their skill. They might be an excellent portrait, still life, flower, sports, or wildlife photographer, but that's not where my tastes run, so I might not pick any of their photos. The same goes for following a photographer, it's more of a reflection on my tastes than the quality of their work. By the same token, if you like one of my photos, click the star, if not, you can pass it by without hurting my feelings. As a side note, my favorites of my photos are usually among the least liked here. Go figure.
