My earliest memory as an artist is an image in my mind’s eye of kids crowding up behind me, looking over my shoulders, seeing what I was drawing. I loved the feeling of friends and strangers admiring what I could do with a pencil and paper. That’s how I started out as an artist, and since then, I’ve tried to hang onto that feeling and keep it close. I want to amaze the viewer with something I’ve created with my hands every time I create a piece of art. I don’t succeed every time, but when I do, I have an excitement that pushes me to try even harder the next time.
I gather inspiration from everything around me. I surround myself with objects that inspire me, whether it's art hung up on the wall, or a comic on the fridge, or anything else that gets my creative juices flowing. The best way I’ve found to inspire myself is to study other amazing artists and work until I create something at the same high level. I also like to work in collaboration with other fine artists.
I hope that I can create a professional life with other artists who help me create something unimaginable. I would like to be part of a creative and artistic team that will challenge and support my development as an artist.
