Early photos in this photostream were simple shots taken with a Canon PowerShot A630. A Pentax K20D joined the family in December of 2008. September 2011 brought good fortune; inherited a Pentax K7, when my spouse upgraded cameras. Over the years I transitioned through successive iPhones 4 to now shoot mostly with an iPhone 10. I occasionally carry my K7 during holiday adventures.

I am American. Grew up in the rural Midwest and lived in various States up to the last 14 years in Madison, Wisconsin, USA (1996- 2010). The progressive spirit, the social fabric, the arts programs, and the cafés (American coffeehouses) all added to the sense of community that made Madison's Eastside so special for me.

Since September 2010, home has been in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I continue to be enriched by the arts, architecture, and pulse of this active and ecologically-concerned city. Even bought a city center flat. I have the best job in the world as a Sustainability Coordinator at a top international business school. I can live and work with the same core principles and activities, with opportunity to wake-up a larger audience to "do what we can with what we have where we are".

Thanks for visiting, I appreciate when you offer targeted and constructive comments. I'm a hobby photographer learning how to be a better as I go along. I am open to suggestions of technique, camera usage and image composition. I just ask that all refrain from posting huge, flashy and/or moving logos. This is not a competition space.
