I'm a outdoors lover who enjoys photography, fishing, sailing, backpacking, canoeing and X-C Skiing.

Semi retired now, my vocation was marketing, however my avocation has long been photography, both personal and commercial. An outdoors lover, I guide 'selectively' on Lake of the Woods. That gives me an opportunity to meet a lot of great people who in many cases have become photographic clients as well. Additionally, it provides me with lots of time on the water enjoying one of my favorite sports and locating great spots for nature photography.

I've always loved photography. The advent of digital inspired me to somewhat reluctantly retire my 35mm equipment. I digitized over 20,000 35mm slides to have them for posterity and explore 'editing' using all the new digital tools. Over the last several years I found great enjoyment in shooting weddings, principally for middle age and plus couples with whom I share more time on this planet. Weddings provide an opportunity to immerse oneself in the joy and anticipation of the couple and I find that extremely refreshing and rewarding.

I enjoy post production and the beneficial effect it has on one's photography as it helps one learn from experience.

I'm gradually loading in some photos and 'sets', and looking forward to sharing experiences and ideas with other with other photographers.
