John Hancock, a regular contributor to NBC's SoundDiego.com and San Diego Reader's "Everyones a Critic" column, has been photographing bands and live music around San Diego for several years. John has been a music fan his whole life and has been taking photos almost as long. He finally decided to go ahead and combine his two passions and started reaching out to local musicians and photographing shows at small venues around San Diego. John is the lead photographer for the San Diego Indie Fest and has photographed other major music events around town like the San Diego Music Awards, North Park Music Thing and San Diego Pride Fest. He has photographed local musicians as well as national touring acts like Devo, Berlin, Metric, KT Tunstall, David Gray, Asia and others. John has several cd covers to his credit and has had photos published in national magazines like Premier Guitar and Surfer.
