JJG Photography.

I am 26 years old and I currently live in Bedfordshire, England. Photography has been a major passion of mine and I have always had a 'natural eye' since I was very young.

My real interest in photography only really started when I found an old Pentax Ashi Spotmatic II SLR camera in my grandfathers house and I have taken it on from there. I then undertook a small night course to help me understand the camera (things like loading film was a great challenge on those cameras!). After a while working with the Pentax, I then decided to upgrade to a more modern Canon EOS 500N, where automatic metering and focusing seemed fantastic in comparison to the Pentax.

My first digital camera was bought for me before I went to university and was a Nikon Coolpix 3100. The initial version had "bright" pixel problem and this was fixed. However I found the optics and quality were absolutely fantastic in comparison to the Canon! Pictures were far better than any other digital compact that I compared with at this time. Unfortunately battery life was a problem and I now have passed this great camera onto my parents, along with some high energy, rechargable batteries!

I currently have some weddings to attend to both this year and possibly next year. I hope I can produce some lovely pictures for these people.

Current equipement is as such:

Nikon D70s

Nikon D200

Nikon D300s

Nikkor 18-70mm DX Zoom

Sigma 50mm Prime Macro Lens

Nikkor 70-200mm VR AFS

Nikon Speedlight SB800

Sandisk Ultra II & Extreme III memory cards

Hoya Circ. Polariser

Western Digital 250gb Hard Drive

Iomega 1TB Hard drive

Nikon Picture Project

Adobe Photoshop CS4

Adobe Lightroom 2.0

This is by far the best photographic equipment I have owned in terms of quality and use, the optics are fantastic and would highly reccommend Nikon to others.
