I am an amateur photographer. I currently live in Superior, Colorado. In July 2009, CNN/Money and Money named Superior and its twin Louisville (both have the same ZIP code) the Winner and ranked first on their list of 100 best places to live in the United States. Though I am based in USA since 1990, I was born an brought up in Mumbai before I came to USA for graduate studies, and am a die-hard Mumbaikar even today. I still yearn for Vada-Pavs and Bombay Sandwiches. Colorado is blessed with lot of serenity and natural beauty and I try to tap it as much as I can. Mumbai on the other hand is blessed with lot of liveliness and I am looking forward to the chance of taping that someday.

I have neither ever used a SLR/DSLR camera in my life, nor do I plan to step up to the plate (pitch for the cricket lovers). I think it would be too complicated for me to comprehend with. My current & only gadget is a point and shoot Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 which own since March 2007. All my pictures are taken with it and I just love the simplicity of it. Albeit it is difficult if not impossible to take long shots, night shots, and shots of objects in motion with it with its limited ability to focus, but it is so handy. Hence, it is kind of a trade-off on my end.

I started using my point & shoot camera to prove to my wife that the money spent on it wasn't a waste after leaving camera unused for almost a year since buying it, and fell in love with photography in the bargain. Hence, I am eternally thankful to my wife for that.

I love taking pictures of flowers. Roses captivate me. I try to break away from that with some other pictures, but all roads for me eventually lead back to flowers. Hasn't some one already said that life comes full circle ? So does passion I suppose.
