I started in photography in the early 1980s and shot on and off again through that decade with a Nikon FM2. Looking back, the shots I took were merely snapshots. Just a few pictures were worth sharing with others.
Fast forward 30 years and I started thinking about photography again. In January of 2010 I dusted off my camera and started shooting again with the idea of testing the waters to see if this was something I really wanted to get back to again. In the back of my mind I was interested in upgrading to a DSLR. In July of 2010 I came across a Nikon D90 and 18 -105mm kit lens at my local wholesale club. The price was so good I couldn’t pass it up. It has been one of the best purchases I have ever made and have enjoyed every minute learning and using this camera. It has renewed my vision of how I see the world around me.
With anything in life I love to learn and that’s what photography is all about to me; constantly educating myself and honing my skill. My inspiration comes from the work of other photographers and artists. I make images from things I see daily and strive to capture what I see in the most pleasing tones of light.
