If you've reached this page and somewhat confused as there seems to be another Jim Servies on Flickr. Relax, there's not.

I just wanted to change my Flickr ID (URL) to something shorter than jimservieslifestylephotography to just jimservies which requires a new account. Blah!

My Take on being a Photographer...

If you are blessed with eye-sight, own a camera and can push a button then you have plenty of talent and potential to be the best photographer you can be! And in my humble opinion you should consider yourself very blessed.

First, stop worrying so much about what others think! Yes, graciously accept their honest - healthy feedback / critiques and learn from them.

Personally, photography is all about passion. Just like any other endeavor you want to succeed in - it takes time, effort, patience and most importantly, a desire to want to learn and develop the proper skills to only be your best!

So, go out there and start shooting! And remember, you have to "give to receive" so don't forget to provide your fellow Flickr friends and contacts frequent and proper feedback to keep them inspired too.
