I can't even count the number of times I've been out somewhere and wished I could take a picture of what I saw. A green field dotted by thousands of yellow dandelions. NYC architecture. A narrow road flanked by bridge supports. Sun rays breaking through a grey winter morning... and spotlighting a church.

But the only cameras I ever had were cheap point-and-shoots that I didn't really know how to use.

Until one night in 2009, when I was bored and decided I was going to look for a cheap SLR on eBay.
