My interest in photography and travel have both grown over the years. I'm a long-time Nikon person. My first film SLR was a Nikon 6006 and eventually I upgraded to an N90s. I dabbled briefly with large format. At first building a 4x5 kit camera from www.benderphoto.com and eventually buying a Canham DLC45 www.canhamcameras.com/allmetalf.html .

It wasn't too difficult to see that film was going away so I sold my 4x5 equipment and bought a Nikon D100 when it first came out. I was happying with the D100 and wasn't looking to upgrade, but the Nikon D300 was just a big step forward I decided to take the plunge again.

I was a big Sigma lens person for years, but I think I look at my images much closer now with digital and I've slowly migrated to all Nikon lenses except for F/2.8 70-200mm HSM which is about 12 years old now.
