Traveler, photographer, wanderlust sufferer. Blogger, poet, creative. I take a lot of photos, especially when I travel. I'm interested in a wide variety of subjects, from street scenes and beautiful skyline and cityscapes to grungy alleys covered in graffiti. Generally speaking, if it cannot talk then I am interested in shooting it. I am not necessarily looking for the defining image of a place, but rather collecting groups of photos that illustrate what I witnessed there. I'm not looking for perfection, because it doesn't exist. I like beautiful photos, but I don't care about creating a masterpiece. Beauty is subjective, so how can you define it anyways? I am trying to capture as much as possible from everywhere I go and publish it as soon as I can. I use Flickr as the public record of my work, and I love it here.

I do a fair amount of post-processing of my photos, as I consider this art and therefore subject to interpretation. I am interested in exploring my creativity and seeing where it leads. It's a winding road, but I am having fun traveling down it. I create a lot of tutorials as well as share tips and tricks on my YouTube channel ( www.youtube.com/jimnix ). I have a photography "to do list" that is longer than my arm, but I'm trying to get to it all. It's fun. ;-)
