Jim's work is the cream of flickr. His compositions are elegant, sensitive, and sublimely beautiful. He has the gift of sight of the mind's eye. The creations seen here definitely qualify as fine art, and are good enough for anyone's gallery.

Mabuhay ka!
Read lessI found that Jim and I have some common points of view in photography. Love for nature, but also taking ordinary things like a fence and than zooming in on it and getting is into a very special picture. Keep on going, but if the thing about getting to prison is real, then please first move, ok Jim?
Jim is the Sun God. Having spent a lot of my adult life living in Asia, I can feel the ancient Asian soul coming though these photos. Much more than just sun photos, he paints incredible sunscapes with his lens. Great work Jim, keep it up!
Jim's pictures reflect a creative and sensitive eye. He has a special affinity for nature, and an eye for the geometry within a scene. Check out his supernova set. Breathtaking!

Jimmy is a very good friend of mine. He's my best friend in Saudi Arabia. We've been a lot of things together in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In happiness and fun as well as in danger and sadness. I haven't seen him for 10 years since I moved to London. He is the one who introduced me to flickr. He surprised me with his photography because he never had a passion with photography when we were in Jeddah as far as I knew. Every image he has taken is worth like 100 images compared to mine because of the situation he is in. By law, it is forbidden to take photographs in public in Saudi Arabia. He risks his life to take these wonderful, beautiful, amazing and fantastic shots. If he is being caught, he will be imprisoned. I know it is a weird law, but what can he do? He deserved every award, accolade and very nice comment he received from other flickr members because every image he has taken, there is an element of danger behind it. I was mortified and worried when he told me that his camera has been confiscated by the police but luckily he was able to run and escaped. At the moment, he is under surveilance everytime he goes out from his house. For his love of photography and be able to share his photographs to other people around the world, he is risking his freedom. For doing that I admire and salute him for his courage and dedication for his beloved hobby PHOTOGRAPHY. Thank you very much. I miss you so much. I hope you can visit me in London next year and we'll have a flickr moment around London. Cheers Chito the bartist
