Touching 80 years young I'm Semi-retired now . Last 50 years Hobby (Off & On) . I started seriously back in the days of film from the basics of chemistry with a full Dark Room to coming close to making a career out of it doing Commercial Projects , Weddings .Portraiture and Aerial Film Photography . I Had taken 11 credit courses at Confederation Colleges Photography Certification which was second to none in Canada at the time. To this day I have 3 settings on my Pentax Full Frame DSLR I use . TAv , manual, Bulb and I Back focus 99% of the time and manual focus Center Focus all the time. Can't get away from the Manual Era. I do let the ISO float with restrictions . I find that really cool not having to keep 5 different cameras with different film in each . Love the multiexposure among the other many benefits of digital photography . Have more time now to shoot but health issues has restricted me to shooting from my truck. Most of the last few years out door shots have been through the windows of my 4X4 using a window pod a lot or not too far from it . One adjusts to what one has . Photography is certainly a pain suppressant for all those ailments of the aging process . My wife; Business Partner and friend of over 60 years and I ply the Great Northwest searching for that interesting photo that we can share with others. Now the truth ! I shoot for Lynda and I as each one of these photos is a slice of our life and I am the biggest viewer and I'm so glad that others enjoy them as well . I cast them up on my 43" Smart T V ; turn on the 9 1/2 hours of 50's & 60's Rock and Crossover music I have on storage then go horizontal in my Lazy Boy for an hour or four and get rid of all those aging things. You can Super enlarge by clicking on the photo and move around it with the mouse . Also there is a small TV icon in the upper right of the home page and each album menu bar that allow you to see a slide show of the photos (auto feed). In the same location is a Spy Glass Search Icon (not the one above the Photo banner that is for all of Flickr) that with a key word you can search for a photo on my site.

Addendum : In November 2024 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney cancer . The spred to the bone of my left hip and upper leg had caused me a great deal of pain for the previous 9 months most of which I thought was Sciatica . That's when what i said previously here really kicked in and at times the distraction was as powerful a pain reliever as the prescribed opiads. Thank God for my hobby ! I haven't got a prognosis from the Oncologists but 5 high dosage radiation sessions have rid me of 99% of the leg pain and I'm on a 2 year 3 hour intervenous session with Immunotherpy on the source cancer . So that's as good as a green light and I feel good so I'll be back in the window of my truck very soon !
