I am at the beginning of my seventh decade and refuse to "grow up".

I grew up in San Diego, graduated from UCSC, and lived for thirty years in San Francisco/Berkeley.

 

I often meet people who get a weird look in their eyes as they look at me and ask/state almost incredulously: "you're not from around here are you?"

I generally say I'm from Berkeley and that seems to satisfy them.

My wife and I are actively working to improve our community.
