I am now retired and really enjoy taking my camera anywhere in order to record what I see. There are therefore three types of shots that I take...

1. Wildlife and nature. These fall into two categories - shots that are technically and/or compositionally good (which I strive for and like to use my Canon D60 with a Sigma 50-500 zoom lens mostly)) or shots that are not so good technically but record what I have seen.

2. Scenery and surroundings. These also fall into the same categories as above but can also include records of trips and holidays.

3. People. You will note that there are not too many people shots in my albums. These tend to be "story" type shots - records of who I see and family shots.

I got my first SLR when I was about 15 (a Pentax) and only replaced it when it got stolen when I was ca. 23. The Canon that I bought to replace it was also stolen when I was about 44, at which time I got a Canon 500. I still have that, but with the advent of Digital had had 4 small compacts and 3 SLRs (if you include the original Fujifilm.S5000.).

I enjoy seeing so many other photos from people on Flickr and admire the mix and variation together with the skill of so many.
