A creator who was no less — or more
than an expectant alchemist
who attempted to turn hope into currency
not distinct from the pennies deeply sleeping in the well
Sonnet to Sonogram
Jeff Franks — 1995
I never know what to write in these quasi-autobiographical pieces of screen estate. How about the truth, not the whole truth, but nothing but the truth. I have been a student, an amateur photographer, a poet, a soldier, an airborne ranger, took the off-ramp on the way to the Sergeants Major Academy, became a student again, a poet again, a software developer for Home Depot, a graduate student, a software developer for a software company, an independent software consultant for a lot of different companies, a professional photographer. So now I am a little like a guy named Clark Kent, except no super powers and no skin tight costume (believe me it's for the best); some days I code and some days I shoot... still working on the rest and enjoying the journey and I hope you are as well.
Wishing you the best life has to offer and encouraging you to take the time to be kind to someone you don't know.

Read lessI am a huge fan of Jeff's pictures. They reflect the passion behind every shot that Jeff has for photography. He willingly shares the technical aspects and details the technique he has used in his fantastic shots. Jeff is my Flickr mentor... or should I say Mentr!!
