For 31 years I worked as a professional commercial photographer. For 25 of those years it was photography the old fashioned way, with film and darkroom processing and printing. The final 6 years were spent joining the digital revolution. During all those years I had the pleasure of photographing Presidents and politicians of all persuations., sports figures, movie stars, dignitaries, and famous people as diverse as Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Bob Hope.

By the end I was totally burned out with photography. I remarried and joined my wife in operating a small business and did not pick up a camera in almost 4 years. Finally the creative juices came back. I missed the feeling of wanting to create something both visual and artistic.

So now I am into having FUN with the camera. No more clients to have to shoot the way THEY wanted the image to be. I don't have time to take this too seriously any more. I don't want to have one style. My tastes are very diverse as to what I like to shoot. I find that lately I have been into experimenting with texture and the millions of ways photoshop will let your mind wonder through the artistic universe.

I love Flickr and and have developed many wonderful friends from around the world. Their creativity is what makes me try harder every time I feel that "burn out" feeling come over me again.
