Beginning on 03rd of June 2012 I continued my own Way of St. James'. In my set "Mein Jakobsweg ~ My St.James' Way" you will see the photos of this way. The first stages I did already in the year 2010.

 

For 4,5 months I walked the Way of St. James, but I did it "my way". I made a 300 km detour to shake hands in Béziers, the twin town of Heilbronn, my hometown.

Through my friend Moana ~ Through_Hawaiian_Eyes ~ from Hawai'i I got to know the meaning of Aloha - She says: "Aloha is the most beautiful Hawaiian word:

 

* A LOHA meaning welcome; what I have you may have, share with me (sei willkommen; was mein ist, teile ich mit dir)

* L OKO MAIKA'I meaning what I say comes from my heart; I have good intentions (was ich sage, kommt von Herzen; ich meine es gut)

* O LU`OLU meaning happy; happy doing for others, an Hawaiian heritage (sei glücklich - tue gerne etwas für andere, eine Hawaiianische Tradition)

* H A`AHA`A meaning humility & meekness; we are happy to serve (Demut & Bescheidenheit; wir dienen gerne)

* A LOHA meaning love; near or far, you are always in our heart (Liebe; nah oder fern, du bist immer in unseren Herzen)

Sharing and spreading the spirit of Aloha which is a mirror of the unconditional love of God is an important goal in my life:

My flickr age begun on Sept. 4th, 2006.

I am now a flickr pro since Febr. 19th, 2008! Why? In the meantime I have more than 200 pics in flickr, and as a non-pro you only see 200 ...

 

My all-days-camera is a Canon PowerShot SX210IS with 14 MPix and 14x opt. Zoom (-> until May 2011 a Pentax Optio SVI with 5 MPix and 5x opt. Zoom). Sometimes I use a Kodak DX7590 Zoom or a Canon PowerShot S3 IS.

 

 

 

As regards to my photo stream and my profile I want to cite Fulton John Sheen (1895-1979):

"When you applaud me at the start, that's faith; midway through, that's hope. But, ah, my dear friends, if you applaud me at the end, that will be charity!"

 

I live in Heilbronn in the beautiful Neckar valley, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

My native language is German. Though I've learned English and French at school I am still learning each day ... Maybe I wrote a word, which was not intended by me ... but "lost in translation" ... I hope I don’t irritate you with anything and if I ever hurt your feelings with my words, I am sorry about that ~ trust me, that was never my intention!

 

Since I am with you in flickr I have learned a good portion in how to improve shooting and editing photos!

I am very thankful to my contacts in this regard. -

It is not possible to comment each contact's photos every day ... so don't be sad, if I am not so often in your stream. If you feel I should have a look at your beautiful photos you may comment on one of my photos to remind me ... ;-)

 

My goal in flickr is to show what I love:

- the beauty of creation in people, nature and in the little things

- the things which are important in my life

- impressions of my daily life and of holidays and events

 

If you want to use my photos other than in mosaics you have to get my permission first. In this case please write a flickr mail to me.

When I notice, that someone is faving my photos who has no profile and no photos him-/herself, maybe I block this person ...

There is a saying in my region: There is one region in the world where God set up an example of all types of sceneries which he was willing to create (small and big rivers and lakes, hills and mountains, forests and wineyards, meadows and fields): this was the region of Baden-Württemberg, Germany ;-))

(don't be sad, here he only did sandpit plays, I am sure, in your region he brought it to perfection!!!)
