I'm a photography student currently finishing up my last year at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. I've always loved art, but it wasn't until I entered the Beal Art program at H.B.Beal Secondary school in London that I began seriously considering making a career out of it. Prior to Beal, I mostly focused my talents on drawing with graphite, however during Beal, I started to branch out into painting, mixed media and photography. My first encounter with photography was with a handmade camera that is referred to as "pin hole" and ever since then I was hooked. I worked exclusively with film and the darkroom process for 4 years, after which I starting going digital mainly due to an insufficient darkroom at my university. Currently, I work almost exclusively in digital, although I still have my film camera, and would actually love to purchase a medium format camera to use in the future.
I love to travel, I've been to Florida 8 or so times and Mexico 5 times. I have travelled around Germany, I've been to Roatan for a Scuba diving trip and this summer I'll be going to Iceland for a short summer course. I enjoy all genres of photography but I tend to lean towards photographing interiors and would love to photograph for an architectural magazine once I have completed my education.
