I have been interested in photography as an art form for a long time but I just recently got a camera. I'm currently shooting with a Nikon D3100 and a Nikkor AF 18-55mm lens. I also occasionally use my dad's vintage Pentax-M 50mm and Vivitar 28-85mm lenses.

I have this mainly to track progress (if there is any progress), because I want to learn how to take great pictures.

Any criticism, tips, tricks of the trade, hints, etc will be greatly appreciated.
