Identification with your mind creates an opaque screen of concepts, labels, images, words, judgments, and definitions that blocks all true relationship. It comes between you and yourself, between you and your fellow man and woman, between you and nature, between you and God. It is this screen of thought that creates the illusion of separateness, the illusion that there is you and a totally separate "other." You then forget the essential fact that, underneath the level of physical appearances and separate forms, you are one with all that is.

Let me start it off by saying that this website is not a portfolio. I'm not trying to prove myself as an artist. I am not trying to be something I am not. I am me and all these pictures, good bad and ugly are all of my life and the people and things that i want to capture.
Backround:
I’ve been an artist all my life.
I’ve always had an affinity for photography since I was a small child watching my father take pictures.
I would ask my mother to buy me black and white film to shoot pictures of my little brother in the yard. I would pose him and also take pictures of him while he was playing.
My love for art came from the need to be independent and rebellious. I am the only artist in my family.
Mediums:
I have an obsession with learning creative mediums.
I am constantly teaching myself new creative techniques from all across the board.
My major mediums or mainstays are black & white and slide film photography . I love developing and printing my own photographs. I find it’s the purest most exciting medium and I love the organic effect of serendipity. I do dabble with digital, but it’s mostly for its immediate versatility and it has its advantages. I also love painting with acrylic. I am into vibrant colors. I never know what I am going to paint. It is always a steam of consciousness art form for me, I like to think that my higher self helps influence my paintings.
I also like wood burning, jewelry making, woodworking, silversmithing and sewing.
Vision:
My art comes from a deep rooted search for clarity simplicity and beauty.
I am constantly stimulated by things I see and hear.
I use it to heal and teach myself discipline. I find it to be my purest form of joy and satisfaction. My spirit has a need to be organically creative therefore my art is not forced production. I cannot function without any inspiration and at this point in my life I am more inspired now than I have ever been before. I am lucky to have found friendships amongst a plethora of talented and highly spiritual people and as a result I feel the most amazing sense of peace and calm and it has fueled my creative spirit. The only problem is that I work over 40 hours a week at a mundane office job. It has been a challenge to channel my creativity to only a couple hours a day. I am hopeful that someday soon that will change.
I want to be a channel or vessel for my artist friends and help them separate themselves from the drone of American life. To find confidence and stability in creating and working at doing what they love. Doing what they must because it is a crime that such talented people are wasting away at a life less fulfilling a limiting wasteland of bills, paychecks, Bosses, schedules, corporations, and purgatory.
So this is where I start because I don’t know where else to, but at least I am doing something and at the end of the day I can look back and say “At least I am working on change.”
