I am a retired designer , father of 4 grandfather of many, serious photographer for 40 years, I was a darkroom lover, working with medium, large and 35 mil format cameras. I hail from Vancouver Island an incredibly beautiful place with the sea, mountians and coastal forests. Family connections allows me to travel to the Canadian Atlantic provinces as well as the Columbia River Gorge area of Oregon and Washington. I grew up in the home of and artist checking out art galleries My work shows a strong bias to black and white . Light texture and design is shown with greater clarity in a monochrome image allowing a story to be told or a mood evoked.
