I am a "wander about and see what catches my eye" photographer. I rarely plan a photograph, although I do often return repeatedly to a place, trying to capture an image that conveys what I see, and I will work a subject until I find an angle, exposure, and framing I like. Although I am far from becoming a naturalist, my photos have sparked some research into the natural world I travel in, and I often share what I've learned along with the photos. As you can see, I like landscapes, seascapes, textures and details, patterns, odd juxtapositions, waves and surf, clouds, birds, colorful plants, occasional monochromes, and, above all, variety. And I'm not above a little frivolous humor and occasional double entendres. I am a longtime admirer of Edward Weston and Ansel Adams. I hope you enjoy my photographs.

But to see some truly fine photography, take a look at my "Faves" page. There are so many magnificent photographs on Flickr, by wonderful photographers, too many for any collection to do justice.

By the way, I do not do sky replacements or add sun rays, moons, texture overlays, etc. to my photographs. If you see it in my photo, so did the camera, though I may have used software to enhance it, as I used to do in a darkroom by other means.
