If you pay close attention to the work of Jerlyn, you will see vibrant use of colors. You will see that in her painting but especially in her webdesign and illustrations. She has been influenced greatly by her Caribbean background. She was born on the island of Dominica and moved to the U. S. Virgin Islands when she was 11.
She started her first site at that age and learned varying web developing languages: PERL, PHP, HTML, javascript and mySQL. Jerlyn at age 15, was a published illustrator and the youngest professional web developer in the Virgin Islands. As a science-math magnet student she was always on the honor roll and she was granted the opportunity to be a junior statesman at Yale University. After graduating highschool, she attended the Rochester Institute of Technology (2003-2007) for her post-secondary education in New Media Design & Imaging. In her spare time, she enjoys various activities such as: taking photos, playing with her psp, painting, exercising and creating mini sites. Fun facts: she is also a certified bartender and licensed scuba diver. At Publicis Modem, her specialty is flash programming but she does enjoy 3D and Motion Graphics in AfterEffects and the occasional web development.
