Yikes! I just moved to San Jose, CA and I'm trying to get used to stuff here, unpack find work etc.....

Pretty much I am all about the personal document. I have been photo journalist and found the work exciting on occasion but to see it in print was discouraging. I became interested in photo documents when I FINALLY went to college in the 90's. I got my first tast of documentary work there and my first taste of teaching and haven't quit yet.

In 95 I was hit by a car on my motorbike and nearly lost a leg. Being Concious and coherent saved the leg if I'd been out of it I'm pretty sure I'd be 30 lbs lighter. Both legs were badly damaged and my left wrist was a mess as well. I never thought I'd get back to work.

Being so Broken meant I couldn't work. and the Doc said 3 years to get back on my feet again...So I went to Grad school in Boston. While there I published my first book of images, met some great people and learned HUGE lessons. I met Fred (www.flickr.com/photos/fred_levy/) there, and 10 years later he turned me on to Flickr; and I, of course, scoffed at it. Then I dumped a ton of pictures of here and now I'm just sorta playing around an looking at folks' work while I continue to strengthen my legs and get my ducks in a row to shoot a few projects I want to do.

ok.. that covers it... got a question? ask!
