I have found myself exploring many different avenues of photography over the many years that I have had the pleasure of taking pictures. I have seen my interests refine and the quality of my work improve. I have learned that it is not just enough to take a picture with good composition, exposure, focus, etc. It is just important if not more that the captured image taps into the viewers imagination, draw upon emotion, evoke a memory, create a sensation, or allow for an association to ones personal experiences, conscious or otherwise. To effectively achieve this strong elements of art, (lines, shape, form, texture, colour, and tone) and photography, (exposure, depth of field, focus, impact, and artistic merit) must combine into the final image.

The images that I most enjoy capturing are those with a strong sense of juxtaposition and/or surrealism. A lot of my work tends to lean towards de-saturated colour spaces. I love working in lighting conditions that create strong and dramatic shadows. I do not feel limited to one subject space but do find myself working a lot lately on still compositions. I find the derelict or abandoned extremely interesting and have been shooting more of that subject matter lately.
