I'm a portraitist of my life.

Born in 1964, in São Paulo, grew up in Rio de Janeiro, returned to São Paulo at 18. During my "Rio years" my passion for photography developed thanks to magazines I had at home, like National Geographic, Vogue, Bazaar, french Photo, etc.

For a long time I was a photographer without a camera, I used what I could borrow from friends. This included Canons, Nikons, Olympus', Minoltas, Pentaxes. Hence my preference for manual cameras, prime lenses and film, but I have nothing against digital. I own a D700 and a D7000. And I've just finished my B&W darkroom, a return to printing after 25 years!
